I know I have been quite inactive the past month, alot of private stuff going on and upcoming exams, but I will try to be more active again from now on. Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Don Mattrick just announced that Microsoft is back peddling with the XBOne, removing the disastrously awful features we've been bashing them for trying to inflict on us.
    Last week at E3, the excitement, creativity and future of our industry was on display for a global audience.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel.  Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind).  So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me?  Pantser?  I think?  But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid.  And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly.  And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling :aww:
I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.

So. Lately around DA, I see people paying 200+ points to get their Nordanners +0.5 karring. Just because its digital, or done by a great artist, means ALMOST nothing. If its a super great artist and you love their art and you just wanted to help them out and see your horses beautiful - great. But some people just do it for the karring.

I don't know why.

So, if you give me a link to your Nordanner and a link to a horse headshot (stock), then I will draw it for you for 5 :points:. Only +1 :points: for coloring because I hate coloring and it's only worth +.5 karring regardless of if its colored.

I'll only have 5 slots open at a time so I can get them done, scan them, and post them before taking on more then I can chew. Oh, and, you can get little chibi Headshots for 3 :points:

Also, don't be expecting A+++++ coloring or art quality. This isn't really for me to get points (if it were it'd be WAY more expensive) its more so to help me get better. Please don't whine to me about what things look like, at least Im getting the art done. Chibi s will be done faster then realistic drawings, FYI. Just because they're easy for me and I like doing them. This is also, for you, not so much for the art quality but the +karring. Because if you were after quality you'd be paying 200+ points for a top notch, adult, with money to do it.

This can be for any horse. Please note that this will be traditional and you CAN digitilize it or color it or whatever when Im done, just don't take credit for the art. I can do 2-3 Headshots on one canvas, you just have to give me multiple stock images.

Also, if there is a slash through something - that means Im done with either that part or done in general and it will be posted as soon as I finish everything else.

If you hate colouring then shouldn't you double the price or something? I'm pretty sure 1 pt is not even worth the pigment you spend on the pic, not to say the effort :3 Ok I'll go now ;D

Oh well :D I don't know if you've heard of :icondahub: but it gives out points for watching/faving/llamafying peeps who've paid for it. It's quite a good deal, depending on what you do, what peeps have paid, and how many new peeps there are you can score 3-8 points every coupla days pretty easily.
